EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT

We are thrilled to appoint Mr Georg Molnar as the 2024 TTWA Goodwill Ambassador. As TTWA aims to strengthen global connections, Georg will play a pivotal role in fostering a sister association relationship with the Hungary National Table Tennis Association and the University of Pecs which acted in the advisory capacity to ITTF Sports Science Congress.

Mr Molnar was a Honorary Consul at the Hungarian Consulate in Perth for 21 years. Mr. Molnar has also been honored with the Cross of Knighthood of Hungary, one of the highest accolades conferred by the President of Hungary. His extensive expertise and network will be instrumental in establishing ties with prominent Table Tennis clubs and association in Hungary and beyond in Europe.

TTWA President Sean Shwe expressed his confidence in Georg, stating, "Georg is a very honorable gentleman with a high level of integrity and a great passion for Table Tennis. He's well respected in the WA Hungarian community and will represent our association admirably."

Mr Shwe further added “TTWA looks forward to opening doors and building bridges with both Asian and European countries simultaneously. Our aim is to promote the profile of our Association, facilitate exchanges among players, coaches, and officials whenever resources permit, pursue opportunities for co-hosting events, and enable our traveling members to be able to play at our sister associations and clubs.”

Furthermore, TTWA Vice President Aleksandr Pervan added, "We are delighted to see us pursuing Asian and European engagement together. I feel confident in having Mr. Molnar represent us in our endeavors."
