2022 WA STATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Entries are to be made online through the TTWA website.
2. The Championship will be played in accordance with TTWA, TTA and ITTF rules and regulations.
3. An umpire whose decision is final on point of fact shall control each game.
4. Players will be requested to umpire by the Tournament Organiser. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action being taken against the participant.
5. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse entries and to cancel or amalgamate any event due to lack of entries; refunds will only be available if an event is cancelled.
6. Any event which is played as a single round robin may, at the discretion of the Tournament Committee, be played through to completion with no final being played.
7. Where an event is played as a single round robin or single match event, there will be a prize awarded for the winner only.
8. All open singles events will be the best of 7 games, with the first round played, depending on numbers, on a group basis. All other events will be the best of 5 games.
9. No claim will be recognised against the organisers of the event should any player be injured during participation in the Championships.
10. Players must report to the Official's table 15 minutes prior to their events. Players who have not reported when called to play, will be disqualified.
11. All competitors must be FULL registered members, (not social/recreational members) of TTWA or another state association.
12. Racket coverings may now be pink, purple, green, blue or red on one side and black on the other. No gluing or re-gluing of racquets is permitted inside the playing venue.
13. ITTF approved DHS 3 star 40+ plastic white balls will be used.
14. All nominated doubles combinations for Open Events are required to wear matching clothing. Opponents in singles events are required to wear contrasting colours. It is recommended that players bring a second shirt of another colour. No white shirts are permitted.
15. All under-age events are open to players who have not turned the particular age before 31/12/2021.
16. All over age events are open to persons who have attained or will attain that particular age group as of 31/12/2022
17. Players entering over or under age events may only enter two adjacent age groups.
18. Entry in the A Grade events is open to players with a Ratings Central rating below 1299 and above 999, as at 5 pm on Sunday 14 August 2022.
19. Entry in the B Grade events is open to players with a Ratings Central rating of 999 or below, as at 5 pm on Sunday 14 August 2022.
20. If a player does not have a Ratings Central rating the Tournament Organisers will determine their equivalent playing standard and thus determine which graded event they are eligible to play. The Tournament Organiser's decision shall be final.
