Congratulations Rayan

Congratulations to Rayan Vardinejad on being selected to represent Australia at the 2022 ITTF-Oceania Championships, which will be played in Melbourne from 5-10 September. Rayan has been selected in the Under 21 team, the only WA player to be selected for this event. We wish him every success in the tournament and hope he enjoys the experience. Well done Rayan! WA Juniors Getting Good Results in Victoria

Several of WA's top junior players travelled to Melbourne recently to compete in the 2022 National Hopes Week & Challenge, with some staying on to compete in the TTA Tour Event in Melbourne, and the Victorian Open. Table Tennis Players and COVID

Please do not use your towels to wipe sweat off the table. There should be a cloth or other blotter supplied by the venue Owner and kept under the table along with hand sanitizer. If there is an Umpire present (player/umpire or scorer or anyone sitting in the umpires chair), it is their job to maintain the table. Ask them to wipe the table. If no umpire, use the provided cloth and remember to sanitize your hand(s) straight away, before touching your racket or ball. Ideally, you should sanitize

Vale Cec Shaw

Cecil Shaw, one of the great contributors to Australian table tennis, passed away on 5 March 2022, aged 100.

Congratulations Lenny

TTWA congratulates WA player Lenny Properjohn on being selected to the team for the 2022 Spanish Para Open, which will be played in Platja d’Aro from 24-26 March. We hope you have a wonderful experience Lenny, it is great to see how well you have been playing. Your selection is a reward for all the hard work and training you have put in to your sport and we wish you every success in the future.

Vale Christine Young

The table tennis community was saddened to hear that Christine Young passed away on Christmas Eve 2021, aged 63 years. Christine had an outstanding record in junior and senior table tennis in WA, adding national and state titles to her record of achievements after moving to Victoria.
